Mould life visit

Mould life visited and gave a demonstration on some of their products and a few tips.

This image demonstrates location bits that allows the perfect positioning and closure of the mold each time, with out warping or putting stress on the seams

These at the the locatiors when not in the mold

Fast cast resin gone wrong as moisture has crept in to the resin, this could also happen by leaving lids off of tins!

example of making a five piece mould, so can can produce in batches

Cant see on the picture, but whwn held up to the light, can see that the material has been degassed for too longand gelled and caused air bubbled in side the cup.

Example of a three piec mould in clear resin

Example of fiberglass jacket

TIPS

Try and pour at the same time so minimise shrinkage diffrence

Castration pliers are greatto aid mould opening

Add acetone to fast cast , makes it run easer, and gives a more violent reaction with removal of air. About 5% of total mix max.
